This Privacy Policy applies to the EngiCalc web application at engicalc.bccipl.com, the EngiCalc Android application on the Google Play Store, and any services provided by BlueChip Concepts India Private Limited under the EngiCalc brand.
By using EngiCalc, you agree to the practices described in this Policy, effective as of 20 March 2026.
EngiCalc is a privacy-first tool. You can use every calculator immediately — no account, no login, no email, no registration required. No third-party tracking scripts, behavioural analytics, or advertising profiling is conducted by EngiCalc itself. This does not affect standard server-side operational logs described in Section 5.
EngiCalc does NOT collect:
EngiCalc saves your UI preferences (such as your chosen light or dark theme) locally on your own device using your browser's standard localStorage. These are functional preferences only — they never leave your device and cannot be used to identify you.
You can clear these stored preferences at any time by using your browser's "Clear Site Data" option.
a) On-Device History (30-day rolling)
Your recent calculation history is stored locally on your own device (browser localStorage) with a 30-day rolling window. This data never leaves your device unless you use the server sync feature below. You can clear it at any time within the app.
b) Server-Synced History (Encrypted & Anonymous)
EngiCalc also saves a copy of your calculation records to our server. These server-side records contain only: the calculator type (e.g., "Basic Calculator"), your calculation expression, the result, and a timestamp. Critically:
Server-side history is not deleted when you uninstall the app or clear your browser data. Use the "Clear History" button within EngiCalc to permanently delete server records.
Like all web servers, our server at engicalc.bccipl.com automatically records standard HTTP access logs when you visit the application. Each log entry contains: the visitor's IP address, the calculator page accessed, the browser/app user-agent string (e.g., "Chrome 124 on Android"), and a timestamp. No calculation inputs or results appear in these logs.
Purpose and legal basis: These operational logs are used solely for server security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues. They are not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, or tracking individuals across sites. They are not shared with any third party.
Retention: Server operational logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and are then purged. IP addresses contained within them are not linked to any named individual or account.
The EngiCalc website displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads. BCCIPL does not share any personal data with Google for advertising purposes. You may opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you purchase a paid feature unlock, payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). BCCIPL never receives or stores your payment card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
EngiCalc is designed for all ages, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because EngiCalc requires no registration and collects no personal data from any user, children are protected by design. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated within the EngiCalc application. Your continued use of EngiCalc after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
